Vodafone is a company you can trust to stick by their word. Last Friday the company announced a new change in their price policy introducing the new fixed price promise. The new promise is strictly focused on pay monthly contract customers and promises that they will under no circumstances hike up the price of your contract mid way through. This is a bold logical and moral promise which will possibly lure potential customers to Vodafone who have been stung half way through a contract before with other providers. Consumer director at Vodafone Cindy Rose said in a statement.
“We asked our customers what they thought was fair when it came to charging, and the clear majority told us that it was unacceptable to increase monthly prices during the contract term. So from now on, when you sign up with us, a deal’s a deal, and we promise the monthly price you pay will stay the same for the period of your contract term, provided you stick within your allowance”
Vodafone introduced this new rule after Ofcom proposed that customers have the right to back out of contracts when their mobile operator attempts to hike up the price half way through the contract. The new Ofcom proposal also states that networks must do more to make sure customers are fully aware of the terms in contacts at the sign up process. Will more networks follow Vodafone in the same suit? Vodafone pledge to keep their customers in the loop!
