The Samsung Gear VR as a virtual reality headset is the present future and it looks pretty cool! Samsung is the first company once again to experiment innovate and trend like they did in the early days with the first popular thablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note. For their latest invention Samsung shook hands and partnered with the Occulus Rift team to modulate and create the Samsung Gear VR which you can order from the US at the moment for $199.99 if you can’t wait to whack it over your head and eyeline to take a peek.

As it stood previously in order for you to to use the Samsung Gear VR you would have needed to purchase the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on contract or PAYG and then buy the Samsung Gear VR separately however reports this week have shed a new light on the compatiblity. Sources at Sam Mobile have revealed that the Gear VR will also work with the expected Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Samsung Galaxy S Edge allowing new users to take a walk on the wild side in virtual reality!

The interesting thing about this is that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 packs a 5.7 QHD display. Assuming the rich colourful display of the Note 4 was a necessity for the VR experience we can pretty much state and anticipate the Samsung Galaxy S Edge along with the Samsung Galaxy S6 will both sport a QHD display. Twitter chatter and early speculative reports have briefed the public that the S6 and SEdge are expected to feature 5.1 inch screens which has led some people to believe Samsung may introduce a Gear VR adapter for their latest flagships. All this will likely be announced at the MWC in just a months time directly by Samsung themselves. Thanks for reading share if you enjoy and let us know how you feel about strapping a VR headset to your frontal lobe!
