On the lead up to the MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Bracelona next month rumours and leaks in regards to all the lastest flagship modles to be revealed have been leaking online as Samsung, Huawei and HTC prematurely pull the curtain strings releasing tiny bits and packets of information for the prying and anticipated public. Below is an invite screenshot to Samsungs latest event leaked by the press which seems to suggest talks or the eminent release of a very flexable device. Could the image below be a side landscape portrait of the Samsung Galaxy S Edge? Samsung have confirmed it will be accompanying the S6 on it’s launch. SamsungInvitemwc2014

As far as we know the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S Edge follow suit from HTC and will be officially announced on the 1st of March 24hrs before the MWC opens its gates and kicks off its vast exhibition of showrooms. Likewise HTC can’t wait to pre-emptively reveal the HTC One M9 (or HTC Hima) at their Utopia event also on the same day the 1st of March both manufactures will be hogging the limelight before the doors open, even Huawei have jumped the gun with an annoucnement to make on the 1st of March. Although this is all on the eve of the MWC this doesn’t mean it will be available as soon as the trumpet sounds and in expected Samsung fashion will probably be around for you to palm within 4-6 weeks of the official announcement. Build, Display Specs & Leaks- Over the weekend the design specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S6 were leaked by the popular prophetic case maker Spigen. Spigen has peeked into the future successfully and already met the news beforehand leaking cases for the iPhone 6 and the LG G3 so the source is credible. This leak comes from Spigen via Amazon and was brought to light by the eagle eyed folks at PhoneArena.

Thanks to this leak we have the most solid lead yet confirmed with 90% certainty via several sources we can assume the Samsung Galaxy S6 wrapps itself in a 5.1 inch screen and case. Furthermore, and this includes a little logic and guesswork. Samsung last week announced that the S6 and the S Edge will both be compatible with the Samsung Gear VR. We’ve always assumed the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 needed its Super AMOLED QHD display not just for keeping up appreances with LG but specifically for an enriching VR resolution and experience. Therefore it seems logical that the S Edge and S6 will both have a 1440 x 2560 Super AMOLED QHD display. The S6 is also said to rock 4GB on board RAM which should genuinely help extremely with multitasking with a 20MP primary camera to come in the various standard 32/64/128GB models with a 5MP front facing camera for selfies. In regards to pricing the S6 has been reported to price around £500-£600 for the 32GB sim free model ranging up to £700 + for the £128GB version.

Another leak has sprung which all but confirms the above when GSMArena received or trifled through shredded rubbish stitching it back together to form a piece of paper (just kidding) a ‘sheet’ detailing the design specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S6 in form of its dimensions. If the images from GSMArena are true we then also have positive confirmation that the SGS6 will be 0.25 grey shade smaller then it’s predecessor at 5.1 inches and slightly thinner with Samsung entering into suface area usually occupied by Sony and the Xperia Z2 and Z3 verging on the boarderline of the Note 4 but unlike the Note 4 still technically remaining manageable with just the one hand! The S6 should also feature the latest highly coveted Android 5.0 Lollipop for your browsing experience.

Whispers From The Mouth Of The Dragon- We also now know from the horses mouth that the Samsung Galaxy S6 in some regions will be breaking tradition in regards to its processing power. Qualcomm is the industry standard sourced chipmaker favoured by most flagship modles when it comes to processing power. However without saying who last week Qualcomm announced that they had lost one of their biggest contracts this year and recently it emerged this week that Samsung themselves ditched Qualcomm (but not forever) only due to overheating problems in the S5 all in favour for their own in-house built researched and manufactured Exynos chip which also, like the Samsung Galaxy Alpha packs a 64 bit Octa-Core processing chip juggling eight cores at once. If your in Europe like ourselves you should still be getting the latest Snapdragon 810 quad core processor.

Design (Codename Project Zero) Following the blemish in sales of the Samsung Galaxy S5 and probably ever since Samsung replaced their head of design rumours have been flying suggesting that the S6 will be a flexable device but this has been partially previously squashed by Samsung when Chang Dong Hoon the previous Vice President of Samsung’s Design was quoted to have  said: “We plan to provide customers with a product that has a flexible display by the end of the year” This could be a brand new phone or it could be a telly to roll up swat flies with and fit under your armpit for transport, we just don’t know! In any case Lee Min-hyouk is the new head of design at Samsung and with a new head surely comes new personel changes and challenges?

Taking note from the Note 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, both these recent handsets had metal cases and frames fusing them together. Samsung has long been notoriously cheap and plastic in its phone builds even for its flagship phones in recent years but with handsets like the unibody HTC polished metal clanging around and the flexable LG flex it seems the idea of premium design has met a new demand and now requires attentive pulse gripping metallic casing.

Therefore following from the Alpha and the Note 4 we expect a metallic frame and build for the SGS6 and these images from nowhereelse.fr seem to suggest so as well; false or real this eye candy is something that is predictable and with newer photo’s from nowhereelse like the one above also clearer and more credible.
